PASTOR
Pastor Carl Staats is a native of Virginia. Born and raised in Arlington, Pastor Carl is very familiar with the Northern Virginia area. He is a graduate of Washington-Lee High School in Arlington, and received his bachelor's degree from George Mason University in Fairfax. Pastor Carl was ordained in 1994, by Bon Air Baptist Church in Arlington where he had served in many capacities including deacon while growing up. At the time of his ordination he was serving as associate pastor at Clifton. He has been pastor since 1995.
Serving as a bi-vocational pastor, Pastor Carl is also a full time employee of an international architectural/engineering firm where he is one of the lead plumbing design engineers specializing in the design of plumbing, medical gas, process, and fire protection piping systems for institutional, laboratory, and health-care clients. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Virginia.
Betty, his wife of 30 years, was born and raised in southern Illinois and moved to Northern Virginia in 1964. Pastor Carl and Betty have two grown children and two grandchildren.
